Fox Jaffna

Region

Northern Peninsula

Overview

In Kokuvil, just ten minutes north of Jaffna town, is Fox Jaffna. This historic house was once the home of an illustrious Thamil family but hides a tumultuous recent past, a near three decades of civil war. The property was once used as a treasury by the Liberation Tigers of Thamil Eelam (LTTE) a separatist armed group before being claimed by the government as an office space.

Since reclaiming the property, the owners have remodelled their ancestral home into a luxury boutique hotel, incorporating modern conveniences while preserving its colourful past.
