Surrounded by the magical forests on its estate Living Heritage Koslanda is a unique luxury boutique accommodation set in the heart of Sri Lanka’s Up Country. The nine stylish rooms are perfectly suited to the wonderful climate and combine boutique-style luxury and traditional Sri Lankan design and architecture, colours, and textures.

Here at Living Heritage Koslanda, they have created a harmonious and peaceful retreat where you can relax, recharge and reconnect with a way of life understood by Sri Lankans throughout the ages. Where traditional architecture and design are fused with the facilities and attention to detail you would expect from a luxury hotel.
There’s no shortage of wonderful places to relax – the infinity pool sits right above paddy fields and is a great spot to sit back and take in the views. The villas have their private courtyard and long veranda and there are three ambalamas (pavilions), ideal for settling down with a good book and a cool drink.

Each of the three luxury villa suites has a private courtyard, outdoor plunge pool, and hot water garden shower, as well as a spacious indoor en-suite bathroom.

In the Up Country, the train winds through picturesque hills, cloud forests, market gardens, tea estates, waterfalls and valleys, and scenery. Getting to Koslanda by train is a memorable experience.
Koslanda is a little less than 1 Hr and 30 minutes drive.

• How about enjoying a picnic lunch down by living Heritage’s private waterfall, a secret natural swimming hole? You’ll have the whole waterfall to yourself. Crack open a bottle of wine, or a few cold beers – just make sure you leave nothing behind but wet footprints!
• Join a local naturalist on a guided tour of the estate to discover the unique flora and fauna of the area.
• Wander through sleepy, unspoiled local villages where you might be invited to join them for a cup of tea or visit nearby ancient Buddhist sites
• The spectacular hilltop infinity pool never fails to impress and offers an irresistible place to unwind, with breathtaking views of the eastern hills and glistening paddy fields.
• Join a cooking class and learn how to impress your friends back at home with a new and exotic breakfast treat, the Hoppers.
