Broadly speaking there are two seasons in the Maldives, dry season, and wet season. The dry season from October to April is the “finest of the finest” in terms of weather.

Do not be discouraged by the wet season because rains in the Maldives are short-lived and followed by long periods of sunshine again. An ideal time to get good rates at the resorts.

An idea of the yearly weather pattern in the Maldives

January – April These are great months to be in The Maldives, with clear blue skies, clear calm seas, minimal rain, and the temperature averaging 28 C – 29 C.
May - September What is regarded as “low season” or “wet season” is still a good time to travel. Although it is a wet season the rain clouds pass over quickly, and long periods of sunshine are out again. There will be fewer holidaymakers and one would find notable tranquility during this period.
October- December A popular time for holidaymakers’ temperatures approaching 30 C and it is recommended to book early.
