An Overview

The Maldives is a collection of over 1,200 small islands or better described as “atolls” sitting on an archipelago in the middle of the Indian Ocean 475 miles southwest of Sri Lanka. The atolls are in the shape of garlands (“Maalai” in Tamil) where it derives the name “Male” the capital of the country.

Only 200 of these islands are inhabited, one does not need to dream of a private island with a white sandy beach surrounded by the turquoise blue sea stretching to the horizon, yes, you will discover this in the Maldives. If you are looking for a laid-back holiday almost switched off from human civilisation, then look no further than the Maldives.
Luxurious comfort with private pool accommodations over water and handcrafted cocktails will cool you down from the heat of the sun. The islands sit just 220 miles north of the equator.

Paradise honeymoon made for you

Quiet beaches, peaceful pools, and unhurried candlelit dinners under starry skies - what a way to start married life. The Maldives is a paradise for honeymooners indeed.

Families

Although at first glance it might not look like the obvious choice for families, the Maldives is a natural playground, and a number of resorts offer colourful kids’ clubs, fun and educational activities, and family villas.
