Best Time

Best time to visit Malaysia

Malaysia is a year-round destination, with a tropical climate that remains warm and humid throughout the year.
However, the best time to visit can vary depending on the region you are travelling to and the experiences you are seeking.

Peninsular Malaysia

The west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Langkawi, is generally best visited between December and April, when conditions are drier and more settled.
The East Coast tends to experience heavier rainfall between November and February, making it less ideal during this period.

Borneo (East Malaysia)

In Malaysian Borneo, including Sabah and Sarawak, the climate is tropical with rainfall throughout the year.
The drier months between March and October are generally considered the best time for wildlife experiences, rainforest exploration and outdoor activities.
