Delhi, the capital of India has a strong historical background. It was ruled by some of the most powerful emperors in Indian history. From Hindu Kings to Muslim Sultans, the reins of the city kept shifting from one ruler to another. The soils of the city smell of sacrifices and love for the nation. The old 'Havelis' and edifices from the past stand silent but their silence also speaks volumes for their owners and people who lived here centuries back. Old Delhi is still holding its traditional values whereas New Delhi is flourished with modernization. This diversity in culture makes Delhi, a most prominent tourist attraction.

Begin your tour with a visit to the Old Walled City. Chandni Chowk is the old quarter of one of the seven provinces that made up Delhi during the Mughal Era. Chandni Chowk fell under Shahjahanabad; the province was founded by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan. The old-world charm can be found in hints and glimpses of the dense and loud lanes of Chandni Chowk. You will start your Old Delhi tour with a visit to the iconic Jama Masjid. The mega structure takes up a monopoly spot in the bustling ambiance of the Old Delhi. Jama Masjid is a study in symmetry and design. From here you will drive past the Red Fort. You make your way through the key lanes of Chandni Chowk. Visit the spice market of Khari Baoli and take a rickshaw ride. Each of these lanes has a pivotal role in Delhi’s middle-class lifestyle.

Gandhi Smriti is the next halt, the museum provides an insight into the cherished personality Mahatma Gandhi, also known as the father of our nation. Gandhi spent the last few months of his life here before his assassination. Drive past the presidential estate and take a photo stop at India gate.

Visit Bangla Sahib Sikh temple and see the temple kitchen as well where food is prepared for few thousand people every day!

Day 3

Delhi to Ranthambore [By Surface - 350 Km / 5.5 Hrs]

After breakfast drive to Ranthambore.

Ranthambore is perhaps the best place in the world to see a tiger in the wild. Ranthambore National Park has had more Tiger sightings than any other National Park in the country. It has come to be known as "The Land of the Tiger", where most of the documented footage of this majestic beast has been recorded.

It spreads over a highly undulating topography varying from gentle to steep slopes; from flat topped hills of the Vindhyas to the conical hillocks and sharp ridges of the Aravalis, from wide and flat valleys to narrow rocky gorges. An important geological feature the ‘Great Boundary Fault’ where the Vindhya plateaus meet the Aravali hill ranges meanders through the Reserve. The National Park is bound by the rivers Chambal in the south and Banas in the north.

In the late afternoon visit Dhonk Craft Centre.
Dhonk is a social enterprise that is weaving a fabric of change - a change in creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for the tigers’ neighbours by up-skilling them in traditional art and crafts. All this while designing an ecosystem aimed at conserving the wildlife and co-existing with nature.

Day 4

Ranthambore national park - Jeep safaris

Track the tigers and other wildlife through the morning. Ranthambore National park contains a huge variety of animals, birds, and reptiles within it.

The popular wild animals in Ranthambore include Tigers, Leopards, Striped Hyenas, Sambar deer, Chital, Nilgai, Common or Hanuman langurs, Macaques, Jackals, Jungle cats, Caracals, Sloth bears, Black bucks, Rufous tailed Hare, Indian Wild Boar, Chinkara, Common Palm Civets or Toddy cat, Coomon Yellow Bats, Desert Cats. There are also more than 300 species of birds in Ranthambore National Park and the famous birds in Ranthambore are Black Francolin, Painted Francolin, Common Quail, Rail Quail, Painted Spurfowl, Indian Peafowl, Greylag Goose, Barheaded Goose, Cotton Pygmy Goose.

Return to the lodge by 1000 hrs in the morning and have breakfast. Afterward, relax at the resort or enjoy the pool/spa and other facilities at the lodge.

In the afternoon, have lunch and then leave again for your afternoon safari.

Day 5

Ranthambore to Jaipur [By Surface - 150 Km / 3.5 Hrs]

After breakfast drive to Jaipur.
Jaipur is Rajasthan’s biggest city and its capital. It is known as the Pink City due to the distinct color of its buildings. The ‘pink’ of the Pink City is Gerua (or ochre) in which the city was coated during the visit of the Prince of Wales in 1905-06. Jaipur is known as much for its fascinating monuments and colorful markets as it is for its gorgeous handloom garments.

Visit the rooftop restaurant the tattoo café overlooking Hawa Mahal. Hawa Mahal is one the iconic facades of Rajasthani Architecture. The royal queens, princesses and maidens used to observe official processions from behind these ornate windows.
Next on the agenda is a visit to City Palace, where the Jaipur royalty still resides. The City Palace compound has a museum which takes you through the royal heritage. Certain parts of the Palace estate are open to the public to observe the family heirlooms.
In the evening witness Aarti ceremony at Birla temple.

Your royal flashback begins this morning. Visit to highlight of Jaipur, the Amber Fort. This century-old Fort compound houses the Royal chambers of the bygone rulers.
Later in the evening stroll through the market area of Baapu baazar to get a feel of the vibrant vibe of Jaipur. You may buy traditional Indian dresses here at very reasonable prices.

CHOICE OF OPTIONAL TOURS IN JAIPUR:
1. Indigo Dye & Block Print
Hand-printed textiles are a true passion of Rajasthan and Jaipur is one of the biggest hubs for this traditional form. You can set off to visit Sanganer on the outskirts of Jaipur, where artisans for generations have perfected the art of block printing on fabric and natural dye.
2. We can arrange an elephant interaction program where one can feed and touch the elephants. You can go for a nature walk with elephants and click the photographs with them. This will be followed by a lunch in the wilderness camp.
3. Visit an NGO where free education is given to street kids. Option of donating copy, pencil, or other stationary items to children.
4. Enjoy the pink city rickshaw ride – An initiative to empower poor women.

In the evening, visit a local noble family and learn about Indian cooking. A cooking demonstration followed by dinner.

Drive to Agra. Enroute, visit Abhaneri. Here we will walk around the amazing Chand Baori (Stepwell). Built in the 10th century, the incredible well of Chand Baori (Stepwell) was a practical solution to the water problem in the area.

Agra, previously served for many years as the capital of the vast Mughal Empire. The city resides in India's famed Golden Triangle and draws tourists to the Taj Mahal and other historic sites that reflect Agra’s rich history. Agra is the city of the Taj Mahal and the capital of the erstwhile Mughal Empire.

Visit Mehtab Bagh for an exceptional view of the Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna river.

Visit the famed Agra Fort. Explore and learn the history of this fascinating site, a vast fort which was the home of the Mughal Emperors and their many courtiers during Agra's era as capital.
