Overview
Lying in the heart of the Kangra Valley, in northern Himachal Pradesh, the lodge is surrounded by a ring of foothills and the distant snow-capped peaks of the Dhauladhar Himalaya. The air is crisp and fresh, and the countryside is stunningly beautiful.
The Lodge is an intimate small home in the hills with 8 ensuite rooms spread across the 3 cottages in a 500-acre tea estate. The lodge is built using local craftsmen, traditional building techniques, and materials, the lodge is almost entirely of wood, mud, stone, and slate. The owners have a strong eco focus in using everything natural and the result is an earthy, rustic, and inviting place to rest up in the foothills of the Himalayas.
The food at the lodge is home-cooked and made with produce from their organic gardens and is meant to showcase local and seasonal produce. The cuisine in the main is Kangra style of cooking, though pan-Indian and European dishes too find their way into the menu. Meals are served in a family-style setting, either outdoors or in the common dining area.
The lodge does not serve alcohol, but guests are allowed to bring their own.
