The palace derives its name from the God Nadesar, whose shrine is located right outside the premises. Perched on the banks of the holy river of Ganges, Taj Nadesar Palace, since 1835, has been visited by royalty, celebrities and statesmen. Nadesar Palace, a mansion of a mere ten rooms in the holy city of Varanasi, it is so luxurious this was, after all, the Maharaja’s residence. It is hard to imagine that the experience could have been much more regal then than it is now under the present management.
