Mantra Koodam is a gorgeous riverside lodge nestled within 15 acres of lush, well-maintained gardens in the picturesque Veppathur a small village near Kumbakonam the town of 5,000 temples.
Guests are welcome to stay in these charming 'illams' (cottages), inspired by the timeless elegance of traditional Chettiar (merchant) homes. Adorned with spacious verandas and exquisite teak doors, each cottage exudes an authentic cultural charm. The cottages feature exquisite guest rooms with elegant furnishings and authentic local décor. Though the rooms boast a modest yet tasteful decor, they are thoughtfully designed with modern amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay enriched with character.
Mantra Koodam offers a relaxing atmosphere for guests to experience the tempo of rural India. Facilities include an outdoor pool and a restaurant that focuses on healthy cuisine. It must be noted that this hotel only serves vegetarian cuisine and does not serve any alcohol (and it is not recommended to bring your own alcohol either).
Every dish on the menu carries on local traditions passed down through generations. Mantra Koodam keeps traditional flavours and dishes of Cholanadu cuisine alive, using a creative blend of spices and predominantly vegetarian ingredients.
